Dani is available for in home or office visits. Early support of feeding issues can be the key to a satisfying nursing relationship with your baby.
Internationally Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC)
This is the highest level of training a lactation consultant can achieve. With 20 years of experience supporting lactating families Dani brings calm and confidence to your lactation concerns.
With more and more studies showing the importance of breast/chest feeding for newborns, and the impact that early intervention can make in establishing and preserving a satisfying feeding relationship, it is so helpful to have Dani’s support. With the heart of a midwife, Dani responds quickly to help resolve challenges before they become problems.
initial lactation visit is A spacious time to exploere often 1.5–2.5 hours & includes:
deep listening to your questions and concerns
skilled observation and assessment of a nursing session
baby weight check
development of a customized care plan
communication with your health care provider as necessary
Follow up visits are about an hour and include time for your questions, baby weight, reassessment of a nursing session and adjustment of care plan.

Issues That May Indicate a Need for Consultation:
Baby not latching well
nipple pain and/or damage
engorged breasts
tongue-tie
sleepy baby that doesn’t feed at least 8 times in 24 hours
slow weight gain
suspect a low milk supply
plugged ducts or red
painful areas on breast
nursing multiples
preemies, sick and/or hospitalized infants
inducing lactation for adopted or intended child
planning to go back to work
